Motcombe Community Shop opened for trading on Saturday the 17th July 2010. Since the shop opened it has gone from strength to strength thanks to the support of the local community, our shop manager Kay and two part-time Post Office Assistants Cherry and Anne, the Shop Management Committee and all our hard working and enthusiastic volunteers.

We pride ourselves:

- that we now stock a good range of ‘Local Foods’ raised, grown or made within a 30 mile radius of the shop or within the County of Dorset. You are welcome to come along to the shop to see our full range if you haven’t done so already.
- that we continue to receive positive feedback from customers on a daily basis and endeavour to respond to suggestions and comments.
- that the shop has brought the community together. It’s a place where where all villagers can shop as well as meet for a coffee and a chat.
- that we have a disabled toilet and a gentle slope with a handrail down into the shop building making it accessible for all members of the community.
