Much of Motcombe Community Shop’s success can be attributed to its team of hard working and dedicated volunteers.  Volunteering brings back the enjoyable, social side of retailing whilst supporting the shop which is at the heart of the Motcombe Community.

It’s never too late to volunteer, there is a job for everyone – from baking croissants and checking sell-by dates to stacking shelves. There is no necessity to work behind the till. You can do as many or as few shifts as you want. Enthusiasm and a good sense of humour is all that’s required, no previous experience is necessary as training will be provided.  If you are interested please do get in touch with us!

“I cannot thank the volunteers enough for their help and support in keeping the shop open and flourishing. We receive constant feedback from customers about the happy atmosphere in the shop and how it is a delight to shop here. This would not be the case if the eager volunteers didn’t enjoy what they are doing. I thank you all most sincerely.”
